Services
Our fundamental vision is simple.
We aim to supply an exceptional utility mapping and surveying service that significantly improves site safety and reduces the risk of injury to site personnel and the public.
At the same time, we believe what we offer can be very cost-effective as it helps to avoid complications caused by unseen hazards that could lead to unwanted delays or additional expenditure.
However, at Utilimap nothing matters more to us than the quality of our personal service.
We may be a big expanding company but our belief is that people matter.
The Green School for Girls has a long history dating back to the 1700s.
Originally founded as a Sunday School, it became a Secondary School for girls in 1904.
During WWII the school was damaged in 3 separate bombings during air raids in 1940 but survived and was rebuilt in 1951.
Since then, the school has continued to grow and thrive.
With continued growth comes the need for expansion, and plans were put in place to erect a new building for the school linked to existing buildings on site.
The improvements also required the relocation of the current car park.
The Science Museum was looking for a quality service and a name it could trust when it came to Utilimap and that's exactly what Utilimap delivered.
This exciting commission required Utilimap's expertise in a cutting-edge project which involved converting Hangar C3, located on the former RAF Wroughton airfield, into a new stage hangar for the Science Museum.
The Science Museum currently occupies 6 hangars on the 545-acre site, home to an incredible variety of around 26,000 objects ranging from the first hovercraft to an extensive collection of vintage aircraft and road vehicles.
Utilimap can draw on over 40 years of expertise working in the utility detection industry ranging from the manufacture of the electromagnetic location apparatus to installation of utilities and utility mapping.
The result is a first class, professional team of utility mapping technicians capable of undertaking even the most complex survey.
Supplying Utility Mapping Surveys to a diverse clientele including architects, primary contractors and local authorities over many years has led to a robust system that can easily identify the most appropriate service for each client whether meeting the PAS 128 standard or specialised surveys tailored to clients' personal requirements.
A collation of utility owner's asset information and plans delivered in PDF format or on a collaborated drawing for reference when on-site.

Type B: Utility Detection Locates all utilities in the designated area using methods such as Electromagnetic Location or Ground Penetrating Radar which can then be marked out where required.
Post-utility detection, verification by intrusive excavation or by noting physical utility features in manholes or inspection chambers.
