The claimant contractor proceeded accordingly and then presented his bill, which the defendant thought was excessive. On behalf of the defendant we physically measured the work on site to prove that the claimant's claims for materials were exaggerated. From this we could demonstrate that the associated labour too was excessive, and that a fair cost was much less than claimed.
