Our highly skilled team of surveyors has worked on a wide variety of projects including single house plots, large housing developments, domestic gardens, Highways, Schools and high profile projects. We are currently engineers on the largest mushroom farm in Europe, being constructed in East Anglia. The scanner emits a laser horizontally and vertically, rotating through 360°. The reflections are detected; as many as 100,000 are possible per second due to internal mirrors and rotation, so this surveying technique is capable of unparalleled precision and detail. As well as collecting the standard data usually targeted during a survey, the intensity of the reflected light and the distance of the objects are evident in the point cloud data set.

Surveying gives measurements that are highly accurate which means that you can save money by buying the correct volume thereby reducing surplus waste materials. For a Measured Buildings Survey, Topographical Survey or one of our other services, contact Steve Jones for free, no obligation quotation.

Our experienced surveyors can collect large volumes of data from open areas with great efficiency, to produce GPS Land Surveys that are highly accurate; our GPS surveying equipment can achieve accuracy to +/-15mm. Since a line of sight is not necessary between two points when using GPS, a surveyor can cover a larger area where sight lines are not possible because of distance or obstructions between points.

At SJ Geomatics we use the very latest software to ensure, we issue floor plans, building elevations and building sections whatever the size, shape or age of the property. We meet the specific needs of each client whether you are an individual working with a single plot or a commercial developer. Our Building Surveyors undertake your requirements using a combination of speed and accuracy to produce highly detailed, exceptional quality, 3d Laser Scanning where output data is available as a digital or paper plan.

Constructed from measured elevation points on a particular piece of land, presented as contour lines on a plot. A land survey details the natural and built environment and will impact on the development and progress of the project. It is therefore essential that they are carried out with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Our well-trained team of land surveyors offer these qualifications, along with a professional, affordable and personal service that strives to meet with the specific requests of our clients.

Underground surveys can also reduce the risk of damage by construction workers due to the unknown location of buried pipes. With minimal disruption our on-site surveyor can get you fast, reliable survey findings from almost any project setting.

Our experienced setting out engineers will use modern technology and instrumentation combined with National Grid and Ordnance Survey coordinates. They physically and precisely mark out details from survey data, drawings and models onto the ground using pegs. Our setting out engineers can pinpoint positions and set out subterranean features such as pile positions, drainage and ground beams as well as structures to be built above ground such as gridlines, brickwork, stud walls, columns, cladding, reinforced concrete slabs.
