Rogers Stevens & Chance are an experienced and wholly independent firm of Chartered Surveyors and Valuers. Established in 1908 and based in Chatham. We operate in the Medway Towns, throughout Kent and into East Sussex and Essex. From this experience and local knowledge we offer a range of surveying, professional and consultancy services relating to residential and commercial property.

We act for a range of clients including private individuals, businesses, banks, and are frequently instructed by solicitors, accountants and other professionals to advise on a wide range of property related matters. Rogers Stevens & Chance Chartered Surveyors have always been based in the Medway Towns and have a great quantity of local knowledge and experience in property.
We moved to 348 High Street Rochester in 1923 and onto 10 New Road Avenue, Chatham in 1946.
Claude Rogers had 3 sons two which Frank and Paul came to work for the firm and Paul's twin brother Peter Rogers went onto to create and produce the Carry on Film Series.
In 2003 we moved to The Admirals' Offices in the fascinating surroundings of the Chatham Historic Dockyard.
Building/Structural Surveys - An in depth survey, includes a damp investigation and visual inspection of any drains where possible.
Can be tailored towards defects you have already identified and parts of the property that are of most concern.
Can also be carried out in connection with a valuation.
Condition Reports - Reports on condition of properties for asset management, maintenance planning and other purposes.
Dilapidations - Preparation of Schedules of Dilapidations, acting on behalf Landlord and Tenants in negotiating dilapidations claims to settlement, specifying remedial works and Section 18/ diminution valuations.
RICS Home Buyer's Report - A standard format home survey including a valuation This is a more detailed report than a mortgage valuation and takes into account the buildings construction.
A visual inspection of all major parts of the property is carried out and reported on also highlights points for your legal advisors to investigate further.
Suitable for prospective purchasers on average size properties of traditional and modern construction.
Gives peace of mind and can be used to negotiate a better deal where defects are found or the property is considerably overpriced.
