ZNX surveys the Natural and Built environment, providing information for those buying or altering property. We also support developers ensuring a proposed development is built in accordance with the approved plans. We provide building condition reports and detailed drawings of existing structures. We give advice and report on disputed boundaries and provide a service as Party Wall Surveyors.

ZNX has always been a family business and since 1972 has been providing surveying services to both private and public clients in the UK and overseas. We are proud of our reputation as a reliable source of accurate information. Although technology has seen the gathering and presentation of information move to be more mechanical we at ZNX still value the art of 'hands on' attention in the field and in the office.

Personal attention to a client's needs is of paramount importance to us and to that end we endeavour to use every means possible to provide a service which goes beyond that of 'survey all that is within the red line' for one simple reason.
Services
Zenex surveyors was introduced as a surveying consultancy in 1972 offering services to those requiring land and as-built building surveys and site engineering support.
Since that first step into the unknown world of consultancy and independence our principal Brian Taylor has developed a business that has seen our surveyors working throughout the United Kingdom, North, West and Central Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Iran.
ZNX has supported some of the worlds most well known Architects and Engineers, surveying areas for new roads, pipelines, electrification schemes, airports, port development, housing and commercial centres; sometimes in hostile areas and in extreme climatic conditions.
Our major achievements include providing survey data on Europe's largest housing scheme in the 1970s, a project covering parts of the London Boroughs of Hillingdon and Ealing and property owned by the Greater London Authority 112 acres in all.
Controlling the direction of an oil pipeline under the Thames.
Credits were given in the Esso House Magazine.
The article said that Houston Contractors, specialists in drilling below rivers etc, and our clients, were successful in drilling from the south side of the Thames to the north side to within one metre of the proposed position, an accuracy not achieved until then, ZNX guided the drilling rig.
Ordnance Survey level datum.
3 To provide plans and elevations for those responsible for station refurbishment.
4 To provide the precise location of structural steel to enable designers to fit new escalators etc.
We were commissioned to provide accurate records of the trees and general planting together with the layout of roads, footpaths, buildings, monuments, boundaries, ground contours etc. to enable the Royal Park's landscaping consultants to re-model the Parks.
Prior to the restoring and refurbishing of our Heritage buildings we were appointed to provide detailed records of several listed buildings.
Today many of these duties have become specialised, leaving the land surveyor to concentrate on that which requires precision measurement.
Measuring the worlds surface and sub-surface and all that is on it or in it, both natural and man-made; determining the contours or level of the land and locating boundaries, measuring and monitoring structures, and controlling the location of new ones is all part of the remit of a land surveyor.
If any natural or man-made structure including specialist machinery needs locating or a proposed scheme needs positioning the land surveyor is the professional to do it.
When assessing the condition of a building, either when a problem is known to exist or to give a report on the condition prior to building alterations for instance, there are three main requirements of a building surveyor.
1 A thorough knowledge of the behaviour of the building components.
2 A knowledge of the building construction methods used when the building was erected, or altered.
3 An enquiring mind.
Using their experience and knowledge of the history of buildings the building surveyor is able to identify weakness in materials and suggest appropriate remedial action.
