Services
GEA is a UK based Practice of Chartered Surveyors established in 1979 in Harlow, with all round expertise, committed to ensuring quality of service to each of its clients.
In this short introduction, we wish to emphasize our flexibility of approach and our experience of handling all types of construction projects and energy consultancy services relating to ECO and Green Deal.
GEA has expanded its Harlow base and has successfully completed projects all over the UK.
The largest contract undertaken to date was in excess of 150 (million) - (Project Golden Gate - The project consisted of the purchase and redevelopment of 104 petrol filling stations).
Note: GEA are a multi-disciplinary Consultancy and as such are able to offer the Client a single point of contact on a construction project, from inception to "sign-off" through to agreement of the Main Contractor's Final Account.
Preparation of Tender Documentation to include Preliminaries, Specification, BOQ's, Employers Requirements, Schedule of Works etc.
Note: GEA's pre-contract services up to submission of the CIF Bid are provided FREE OF CHARGE until funding has been secured for the Project.
In our experience, effective project management stems from building strong, long-term relationships with our clients.
This can be done by fully understanding our Clients expectations and the key requirements and drivers of the project, we can successfully plan, organise and manage it from inception to completion.
Once a project has been designed, competitively tendered and a contract drawn up between the Client and Contractor, it is essential that the project is professionally 'managed' throughout the construction period on site, through to completion, "sign-off" and agreement of the Final Account.
A Building Survey is a health inspection of a property that is carried out by a Chartered Surveyor.
The type of survey dictates how thorough it is and what kind of areas will be inspected within the property.
More on the different types of survey later.
In the end, the person who arranged the survey receives a report detailing the building's exact, current, structural state.
It also covers all the findings of the survey.
A Chartered Surveyor's job is to evaluate the condition of a property and its structure, identifying any issues that may be present.
One of the most important questions with any construction project is how much it will cost?
This involves the expert advice of a qualified Quantity Surveyor and Cost Management Consultant.
As Chartered Quantity Surveyors, GEA provide professional and independent advice to our clients on all aspects of Construction Cost Consultancy.
Our team works with our clients to enable us to provide a full and comprehensive cost consultancy service that is fully integrated with the design and construction process from inception through to completion and beyond.
